The putsch and your freedom to dissent
Updated: Dec 13, 2019
According to the new standards created for Netanyahu, six out of eleven prime ministers should have been indicted, impeached, convicted and imprisoned:
Levi Eshkol. Yitzhak Rabin. Shimon Peres. Ehud Barak. Ariel Sharon. Ehud Olmert (while still in office).
The main culprit in this putsch being carried out by the “rule of law gang” (per Rivlin) against the elected representative of the people, is Netanyahu himself, who allowed this plague to continue growing and made it possible for the gang – for example – to appoint the state’s attorney rather than the elected government.
But now it’s not about Netanyahu anymore, it’s about human and civil liberties in Israel.
If they succeed – and it seems that way at the moment – in ousting the elected representative of Jewish majority and seize power through some or other puppet, we can all forget about our liberty.
What every student is currently experiencing in Tel Aviv, in Haifa, in Jerusalem and in Beersheba – the need to keep your head down, hide your opinions, maintain your career prospects – will be experienced by every citizen in Israel.
All parties of the national camp should run in the upcoming election in one big technical bloc.
Not to save Netanyahu,
Not to save the land of Israel,
Not even to save the economy,
But simply to save liberty.
Because after their successful coup, they will destroy all the outposts of resistance. They will further extend their powers and their absolute authority.
No politician will dare mess with them.
No media person, thinker, rabbi, professor, military officer, or police officer – and certainly not you, the little citizen.
The entire national camp must run on a shared list in order to protect one thing –
And if not –
You’re best off carrying the red booklet again*.
