Amazing Volunteer in Beit Shemesh
The Ultra-Orthodox appearance of this new Zehut volunteer who I met in Beit Shemesh did not surprise me. He is far from the first Ultra-Orthodox volunteer in Zehut. But his story is truly unique.
His grandfathers were Nazi soldiers in the SS. His family became wealthy from robbing Jewish property in Germany. Today, they are still proud of their past.
When he converted, he was disinherited from everything and he came to Israel penniless. Today he is happy. He is a Jew. He has identity. He has Zehut.
