Meet the Candidate: Hagai Greentzeig
In the next elections, Zehut will be elected to the Knesset as one of the mportant parties that will influence government policy and lead strategies that will change the face of Israeli society.
Zehut’s ideas and platform require excellent leadership - active and responsible, to implement the changes that our nation so sorely needs.
I am pleased to present myself as a candidate for a place in this leadership:
My name is Hagai Greentzeig. I am 57 years old, married and a father of six. I am one of the founders of Zehut and have been with it for over 20 years. I was born in Haifa and served in the Tank Corps. I have a bachelors degree in educational administration and supervision from Bar Ilan University. I have a great deal of experience in sales and today am the supplier supervisor for a large food chain. I was very active against the expulsion from Yamit and Gush Katif and reached the conclusion that our efforts must be directed at changing the government and heralding a message to the Jewish Nation, to perfect the world in the Kingdom of the Almighty.
My worldview is based on principles and values for which I have strived for years. These values dovetail with Zehut’s. It is only natural that I would see Zehut as an inseparable part of myself. I have seen eye-to-eye with Moshe Feiglin for years and his uncompromising stance on matters of principle – even at the expense of coalition discipline, have paved the way to achieving those worthy goals.
What do you bring with you to Zehut?
Faith in the justice of the cause of the Jewish Nation in the connection between generations and our absolute right to live in this Land. The mandate that we received from G-d to live in the Land of Israel – wherever we please. If we would do so, security would be the last of our problems.
In addition, having a degree in educational administration and supervision, I believe that advancing the voucher method for education is vital and the best that we can give parents, to allow them to determine the content and quality of their children’s education.
What are the main issues upon which you will focus?
Sovereignty for all areas of the Land of Israel.
The creation of an independent, external supervisory body for the police and courts to foster proper, impartial conduct.
Changing the method for election of judges, so that it will be based solely on Knesset Members.
Advancement of the voucher method in education, to foster parental liberty in educational content and quality.
There is not enough room to include all the issues…
How will you attract voters to Zehut?
Advancement of the party and “selling” it to voters will be expressed by the many connections that I have made over the years and varied, multi-faceted circles of friends that I have made in Israeli society. My experience in sales will certainly help me to market Zehut, which, in my opinion actually markets itself with its wonderful ideas and principles.
Why should we vote for you?
Vision, loyalty and experience. Determination and perseverance were always my guiding lights and my past proves that. Voters justifiably look for candidates with perseverance, values and clear goals – and of course, direction. I have been progressing in this direction for over 20 years and the primaries are another step in realization of the goals that I share with Zehut for a true change for Israel.
